Security Log (Recent Activity)

The Security Log, also known as Recent Login Activity, helps you monitor all sign-in attempts to your StatusDrift account. This feature allows you to detect unauthorized access attempts and verify that only you are accessing your account.

Accessing the Security Log

To view your recent login activity:

1. Click on your profile avatar in the top-right corner
2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu
3. Navigate to the Security tab
4. Scroll down to the Recent Login Activity section

Information Displayed

Each login entry in the security log shows:

• IP Address – The IP address used for the login attempt
• Location – City and region information derived from the IP address
• Country – The country where the login originated
• Login Time – The exact date and time of the login attempt

Identifying Suspicious Activity

Review your login history regularly and look for:

• Logins from unfamiliar locations or countries
• Logins at unusual times when you weren’t using the service
• Multiple failed login attempts from different IP addresses
• Logins from IP addresses you don’t recognize

What to Do If You Detect Unauthorized Access

If you notice suspicious login activity:

1. Change your password immediately – Go to Settings > Security and update your password
2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication – Add an extra layer of security to prevent future unauthorized access
3. Review your account settings – Check for any unauthorized changes to your account, monitors, or notification settings
4. Check the Audit Log – Review what actions were taken during the suspicious session
5. Contact support – If you believe your account was compromised, reach out to our support team

Location Accuracy

Location information is determined through IP geolocation, which may not always be perfectly accurate. Factors that can affect accuracy include:

• VPN or proxy usage
• Mobile network connections
• Corporate network configurations
• ISP routing decisions

If you use a VPN, the location shown will reflect the VPN server location rather than your actual location.

Log Retention

StatusDrift retains login activity records to help you monitor account security. The security log displays your most recent login sessions, allowing you to track access patterns over time.
