When your export is ready, you can download it from the same page. Data exports include your account information, monitors, alerts, and notification settings.

Data Retention When Changing Plans

Upgrading

When you upgrade to a plan with longer retention, your existing data is preserved and the new retention period applies immediately. However, data already purged cannot be recovered.

Downgrading

When you downgrade, data older than your new plan’s retention period is deleted at the end of your current billing cycle. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

Canceling

After subscription cancellation:

  • Your account converts to the Free plan
  • Data beyond the Free plan retention limit (90 days) is deleted
  • Monitors exceeding Free plan limits are paused
  • Deleted data cannot be recovered

Data Deletion

Automatic Deletion

Data is automatically deleted when it exceeds your plan’s retention period. This process runs daily and cannot be reversed.

Manual Deletion

You can manually delete specific data:

  • Monitor history: Delete a monitor to remove all its historical data
  • Incident reports: Delete individual incidents from the incident history
  • Account data: Request complete account deletion from Settings

Account Deletion

To permanently delete your account and all associated data:

1. Go to Settings and select the Account tab.

2. Check the confirmation box under “Delete Account”.

3. Click Deactivate Account.

All personal data and monitoring history will be permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.

Enterprise customers can negotiate custom retention periods to meet their specific needs. Extended retention is available for:

  • Compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.)
  • Long-term trend analysis
  • SLA reporting and auditing

Contact sales to discuss extended retention options and associated costs.

Data Security

All retained data is protected by:

  • AES-256 encryption at rest

  • Regular backups with 99.999% durability
  • Access controls and audit logging
