Configuring Pushover Integration

StatusDrift integrates with Pushover to send push notifications directly to your mobile devices. This guide explains how to configure the Pushover integration to receive real-time alerts on your phone or tablet.

What This Integration Does

The Pushover integration sends push notifications to your devices when:

  • A monitored service goes down or becomes degraded
  • A service recovers and returns to normal status
  • SSL certificates are approaching expiration
  • Performance thresholds are exceeded

Prerequisites

Before configuring the Pushover integration, ensure you have:

  • A StatusDrift account with at least one monitor configured
  • A Pushover account
  • The Pushover app installed on your mobile device(s)

Step 1: Get Your Pushover Credentials

First, gather the required credentials from Pushover:

  4. Click Create an Application/API Token
  5. Enter a name (e.g., “StatusDrift”) and description
  6. Click Create Application
  7. Copy the API Token/Key that is generated

  • -1 (Low): Always sends quietly
  • 0 (Normal): Standard notification
  • 1 (High): Bypasses quiet hours
  • 2 (Emergency): Repeats until acknowledged

Troubleshooting

Notifications not being received

  • Verify both the User Key and API Token are correct
  • Check that the Pushover app is installed and logged in on your device
  • Ensure notifications are enabled for the Pushover app in your device settings
  • Verify the notification channel is assigned to your monitors

Notifications arriving silently

  • Check the priority setting in StatusDrift
  • Verify your device is not in Do Not Disturb mode
  • Check the quiet hours settings in your Pushover app
